Abstract
This article aims to show the importance of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) as a
technological resource available to the visually impaired person in education, in terms of educational
opportunities and outcomes, as well as introduce ICT, as assistive technology, that offers the visually impaired
a concrete way to neutralize the barriers caused by disabilities and thus enable access to knowledge, providing
greater independence and autonomy and especially promote their social inclusion.
